GRAND PHOTOJOURNALISM IN COIMBRA

O grande fotojornalismo volta a concentrar olhares em Coimbra já a partir do final de Maio, com o regresso do PRÉMIO ESTAÇÃO IMAGEM e do festival que lhe está associado. Um programa que arranca com a abertura simultânea de oito exposições internacionais de grande formato, inclui o concurso e entrega dos prémios de fotojornalismo e ainda um conjunto de aulas abertas com destacados fotojornalistas da cena internacional.

A decorrer entre 29 de Maio e 24 de Julho e tendo a Câmara Municipal como entidade co-organizadora, o festival abre com a inauguração simultânea das grandes exposições em vários espaços da cidade de Coimbra.

 

The best photojournalism is back in Coimbra from late May with the return of the ESTAÇÃO IMAGEM AWARD and associated festival. The programme kicks off with the simultaneous opening of eight large-format international exhibitions. It includes the competition, the announcement of winners and ceremony, and also several open classes by internationally renowned photojournalists.

Taking place between May 29 and July 24, and co-organised with the Coimbra City Council, the festival opens with the inauguration of its main exhibitions in several venues in Coimbra.

Uma mostra colectiva que nos deixa orgulhosos pelo todomas também por cada fotografia exposta do trabalho dos fotojornalistas ou bolseiros que foram galardoados nas várias categorias do Prémio Estação Imagem, ao longo destes onze anos e que, com o seu trabalho, têm mostrado o que é ser europeu num contexto português.
As part of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2021, the Coimbra City Council invited us to think of a thematic exhibition on “Europe”. We are very proud with the overall showcasing of this collective exhibition as much as with each of the photos authored by the photojournalists and grant holders, all awarded in the various categories of the Estação Imagem Award over these last eleven years. Their work is a major contribution to understand what it is to be European seeing from the Portuguese context.

CERIMÓNIA DE ENTREGA DOS PRÉMIOS AWARD CEREMONY

Excepcionalmente, o júri fará a deliberação do PRÉMIO ESTAÇÃO IMAGEM 2021 COIMBRA à distância, usando uma plataforma electrónica desenvolvida pela ESTAÇÃO IMAGEM.
A lotação da Antiga Igreja do Convento São Francisco está sujeita à limitação de lugares imposta pelas autoridades de saúde.
O vencedor da BOLSA ESTAÇÃO IMAGEM 2021 COIMBRA acumulará o prémio com um vale no valor de 600€ para a compra de material fotográfico, e o vencedor da FOTOGRAFIA DO ANO receberá também um vale no valor de 400€, ambos oferecidos pela Fujifilm.
Exceptionally this year the jury will deliberate remotely using the online platform developed by ESTAÇÃO IMAGEM.
Seating at Antiga Igreja do Convento São Francisco will be limited in accordance with the health authority’s guidelines.
The winner of GRANT ESTAÇÃO IMAGEM 2020 COIMBRA will receive a 600€ Fujifilm coupon in addition to the grant, and the winner of the PICTURE OF THE YEAR will also receive a 400€ Fujifilm coupon, both sponsored by Fujifilm.
